Spleen

Definition: Spleen, glandular organ, flattened and oblong, located in the upper left area of the abdominal cavity, in contact with the pancreas, diaphragm and left kidney; It is attached by fibrous bands attached to the peritoneum (the membrane that lines the abdominal cavity).
